Soil Mineral Nitrogen talk with local Kentish farmers

Steve and Louise spent the morning at the Old Dairy Café in Goodnestone.
They gave an informative presentation to some local Kentish farmers, who are involved in a cover crop trial through Southern Water and in collaboration with FWAG South East. The topic for this presentation was Soil Mineral Nitrogen, SMN. Louise and Steve discussed points such as how we take the SMN sample, the benefits of measuring SMN, how to interpret sample results, using equations and then discussed their own results. It was nice to be able to put this together and to engage with farmers in our community.
