Carbon Sampling

Climate Change Mitigation; Soil can store significant amounts of carbon, helping to reduce atmospheric CO₂ levels. By measuring soil carbon, we can track how much carbon is being sequestered and assess the effectiveness of land management practices aimed at increasing soil carbon storage (1).

Soil Health; Carbon is a key component of soil organic matter, which improves soil structure, water retention, and nutrient availability. Healthy soils are more productive and resilient to erosion and drought (2).

Carbon Credits; Establishing a baseline of soil carbon allows landowners to participate in carbon markets. They can earn carbon credits by demonstrating increased carbon sequestration over time, providing a financial incentive for sustainable land management (1).

Policy and Research; Accurate soil carbon data supports policy-making and scientific research. It helps in developing strategies for sustainable agriculture and climate change mitigation (2).

ACS Farm Image are currently working with Environment Bank, sampling over 6000 acres of habitat to ensure the preservation of natural ecosystems, this provides the opportunity for farmers and landowners to build more resilient and sustainable farming systems.
