Zone Sampling Analysis and Recommendation

Zone sampling uses information from soil variation maps to direct our samplers to areas of the field with the same soil characteristics.

The Service

Using soil EC/EM maps is a great way to target different areas of a field for sampling. Each zone can be sampled in a traditional ‘W’ pattern or for more comprehensive results each zone can be split into 1Ha grids. Some soil types will hold onto nutrients better than others and zone sampling will mean different soil types within a field will be sampled independently of one another. We can use any previous EC/EM soil variation mapping data you may already have, or we can offer EC scanning at an extra cost.

The results are used to create a comprehensive report sent to you as a pdf document. You will then be able to view these on our SoilSmart system and create variable rate spreading files from the results.
